WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS LIKE?

Immediately following the peel, skin may appear light yellow or tan (due to the Retinoic Acid). Mild to moderate redness and swelling may also be present

Peeling generally begins on the 2nd or 3rd day after application.  On rare occasions, peeling may not begin on until day 4. By 7th day in, a dewy and clearer complexion is evident

Results and healing improve over the course of the next few weeks. Sun protection and skincare maintenance are essential to the longevity of the results

WHAT ARE THE PRE AND POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS?

  • Follow the post peel instructions included in the take home kit
  • Avoid strenuous exercises, jacuzzi, sauna or steam baths for up to 72–96 hours
  • The post-peel towelettes are a crucial part of the peeling process, if itching is extreme: wash the face to remove the solution or apply the Post Peel Protectant after 10 minutes
  • You may substitute the Post Peel Protectant for any cortisone cream mixed with another  gentle moisturizer you have at home, that will not irritate the skin
  • An antihistamine may be taken to reduce extreme itchiness and swelling
  • The use of SPF 30+ daily is highly recommended (with Zinc Oxide)
  • Avoid Clarisonic Brush and use of scrubs or any exfoliation, until the peeling process is complete (6–7 days)
  • Do not scratch or pick the skin during recovery
