WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS LIKE?
After the treatment your skin may feel as if you have a slight sunburn, as well as tight and dry. Some may experience slight bruising and swelling. Skincare products may tingle or slightly burn for 2-3 days post treatment. By day 3-6, slight redness may still occur and peeling may be experienced. WHAT ARE THE DO’S & DON'TS?
- Avoid any product or supplement high in Vitamin A, such as retinoic acid, glycolic acid, tretinoin (Retin-A) and alpha-hydroxy acids 1 week prior and after
- Avoid Ibuprofen, Motrin or Advil for 7 days prior and after treatment
- Avoid blood thinning agents to ward off bruising
- Avoid IPL, laser procedures, facial treatments, injections, waxing, electrolysis and unprotected sun exposure 2 to 4 weeks prior and after
- Do not scratch or pick the skin during recovery
- Avoid strenuous exercises, jacuzzi, sauna or steam baths for up to 48 hours
- The use of SPF 30+ daily is highly recommended (with Zinc Oxide)
