Individuals with actively infected or inflamed skin, autoimmune system disorders, history of cancer, keloid scar formation, pregnant or breastfeeding, Isotretinoin (Accutane®) use in the past 6 months
WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS LIKE?
After the treatment your skin may feel as if you have a slight sunburn, as well as tight and dry. Some may experience slight bruising and swelling. Skincare products may tingle or slightly burn for 2-3 days post treatment. By day 3-6, slight redness may still occur and peeling may be experienced. Day 7, skin may still be slightly red, but a glowing complexion is evident
Results and healing improve over the course of the next few weeks. Sun protection and skincare maintenance are essential to the longevity of the results
WHAT ARE THE DO’S & DON'TS?
- Avoid any product or supplement high in Vitamin A, such as retinoic acid, glycolic acid, tretinoin (Retin-A) and alpha-hydroxy acids 1 week prior and after
- Avoid Ibuprofen, Motrin or Advil for 7 days prior and after treatment
- Avoid blood thinning agents to ward off bruising
- Avoid IPL, laser procedures, facial treatments, injections, waxing, electrolysis and unprotected sun exposure 2 to 4 weeks prior and after
- Do not scratch or pick the skin during recovery
- Avoid strenuous exercises, jacuzzi, sauna or steam baths for up to 48 hours
- The use of SPF 30+ daily is highly recommended (with Zinc Oxide)
